We desperately need a canon moment where Rin tells Nitori that he’s proud of him. We need it. Nitori needs it. We’ve had little moments where Rin implies that he’s proud of all Nitori has managed to accomplish on his own, but he needs to tell Nitori straight up. He needs to notice that Nitori is upset. Regardless of the ship or not, Rin is supposed to be Nitori’s friend, and he needs to take care of him.
